Housekeeping Attendant - Public Area (EVS)

Business Unit:  Hospitality & Entertainment
Division:  Hotel

I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

Responsible in cleaning, maintaining and supplying all assigned areas in accordance with the standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines established by Okada Manila; provides convenience, comfort & safe environment in all public space.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Attends shift briefing/de-briefing regularly
  • Performs various and routine cleaning and maintenance task or activities in the public areas which are not limited to: dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, glass cleaning, buffing/polishing, mopping, amenity replenishment
  • Performs special projects as scheduled
  • Sets-up and replenish pantries with cleaning and chemical supplies based on the established par
  • Reports any damages or defects in the assigned areas to the supervisors
  • Handles all housekeeping cleaning supplies, materials, chemicals and/or equipment with utmost care and attention with a high regard for safety and security and ensures its proper use
  • Delivers friendly, courteous and efficient quality service to all guests and fellow staff members
  • Keeps up to date on all relevant Hotel and Casino events, promotions, products and services
  • Keeps up to date on the Hotel’s Fire, Life, Safety and Emergency Procedures, other applicable hotel programs
  • Accurately reports and surrenders all lost and found items encountered in a timely manner to the Security
  • May assume other duties as may be assigned by the superior/s as needed

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Educational Requirement:

High School graduate
TESDA NCII - Housekeeping

 

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 6 months experience Housekeeping Public Area or Room Attendant in Hotel or Casino industry

 

Skills and Attributes:

  • Service Oriented
  • Team Player
  • Must be pro-active, professional and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must have accountability and take ownership
  • Knowledge on basic housekeeping equipment
  • Familiar with housekeeping cleaning & chemical supplies
  • Attention to detail
  • Well-organized

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Good command of written and oral English
  • Willing to work on shifting schedule, weekends or holidays
