I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

The Engineer – Technical Response (BOH & Podium Response) will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs on the facility of the whole casino/gaming/podium area. The Engineer will also supervise some repairs on mechanical, electrical and plumbing within the gaming area.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Planning / Project Control / Reports / Operations / Personnel:

• Responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the gaming area prior to the developing the General Plan. 
• Responds to facility maintenance concerns
• Performs and/or monitors maintenance and preventive maintenance projects
• Supports gaming area maintenance programs and executes daily, weekly and monthly checklist.
• Assist in the supervision of temporary maintenance associates
• Assist management in specifying proper supplies and equipment for operations
• Deals with guest related concerns
• Maintain the guest room, public space, and gaming areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and tiling to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel
• Prepares status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Educational Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Registered License Holder of this discipline.

Experience Requirement:

• 3 – 5 Years experience as a Project / Site / Construction Engineer or any Supervisory Experience in a Construction related Company, Hotel, Casino, or Resort experiences

Skills and Attributes:

• Computer literate in MS Office applications.
• Good telephone manner and customer service focus.
• Demonstrate knowledge in engineering principles, practices and methods, environmental regulations, engineering project management methods, workplace safety, budgeting, employee supervision and personnel management.
• He must be flexible and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• He or she should be competent in handling simultaneously occurring tasks and smaller projects, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work on overtime when needed.
• Good health, physically fit and excellence in personal grooming and presentation.
