Visual Graphic Animator - AVL
I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:
Works on any variety of products and activities, such as posters, visual graphic animation, flash animation, 2D and 3D animation displays and corporate identity, giving organizations a visual brand.
Work to a brief agreed with the client, production manager or director and will develop conceptualized creative. The appropriate media and style has to be chosen to meet the production or client's objectives.
The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
An animator produces multiple images called frames, which when sequenced together create an illusion of movement known as animation or computer-generated animation. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Liaising with clients and developing animation from their concepts;
- Creating storyboards that depict the script and narrative;
- Drawing in 2D to create sketches, artwork or illustrations;
- Using technical software packages, such as Flash, 3ds Max, Maya, Light Wave, Cinema 4D, Blender and Adobe After Effects, Photoshop.
- Building up accurate, detailed frame-by-frame visuals;
- Working to production deadlines and meeting clients' requirements;
- Working as part of a broader production team, which might include liaising with printers, copywriters, photographers, designers, account executives, website designers or marketing specialists;
- Performs such other duties from time to time assigned by the production manager or director.
III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Educational Requirement:
- Preferably College Diploma or Certificates or degree in graphic animation design or a related field.
Experience Requirement:
- At least 4 years’ experience in Flash, Graphic and 3D Animation.
- Or a diverse impressive portfolio.
Skills and Attributes:
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair;
- Excellent communication skills in order to interpret and negotiate briefs with directors;
- Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain ideas to superiors and colleagues;
- Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at a time;
- Accuracy and attention to detail when finalizing designs
- Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs;
- Ability to work with others and to take direction;
- The flexibility to switch between several projects at once;
- The ability to work well in a team;
- Creativity and problem-solving;
- Willingness to work long and irregular hours when needed.
