Specialist - Supplier Relationship Management

Business Unit:  Shared Services

I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

The Specialist, Supplier Relationship Management is responsible for all vendor qualification, maintenance of the vendor master and monitoring vendor performance.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Responsible for the accuracy and timely completion of Supplier Accreditation Process by ensuring all requests are within the radar and provide effective communications to all stakeholders about the status of all active requests.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on Supplier onboarding rating to mitigate supply management risk and strategize mechanism on optimizing vendor pool.
  • Accountable for data integrity of vendor master in the system (AX) which all active vendors are accredited and met all standards set by the process.
  • Facilitate and provides support in Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) process by sending out bid event with clear instruction / guidelines to vendor, answer inquiries from the vendors, and coordinate with procurement team the bid response summary.
  • Performs semi/annual Supplier Performance Evaluation by preparing Supplier Compliance and Performance Evaluation (SCPE) Report; Gathers feedback and approval from stakeholders, establish Supplier Corrective Action Plan (SCAP) to address issues and improvements, and effectively communicate identified gaps with Procurement and Supplier.
  • Produce error-free work material by ensuring data and documents are consistent and accurate and compliant to the company policies and procedure.
  • Performs necessary analytics and support in development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives by the team.
  • Ensures all Supplier Engagement Process are accomplished based on agreed Turnaround time (e.g. Accreditation, Reaccreditation, Credit limit application, execution of Bidding and Negotiation, Supplier Performance review, and Hygiene Audit scheduling) 
  • Perform other duties assigned to in relation to Supplier Relationship Management

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Educational Requirement:

  • Graduate of 4-5 year course in university.

 

Experience Requirement:

  • One (1) year minimum work history is preferred.
  • Experience with data entry and data gathering is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

 

Skills and Attributes:

  • Supplier Relationship Management - Create supplier relationship strategies based on the market and cost dynamics of Okada. Devise and implement performance indicators and metrics for key suppliers
  • Regulatory and Legal Environment - Understands and applies the legality of regulatory frameworks to operate effectively in a regional market Understands and applies the wider geographical rules and regulations and monitors and audits to ensure compliance
  • Governance/Policies & Procedures - Follows and complies to the governance structure, policies and procedures in decision making and day-to-day job performance
