I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:
The Officer - Quality Assurance performs quality assurance analysis and testing to be able to certify that a system meets a level of quality that is accepted by the business users, acknowledging identified risks and limitations, if any.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Work with the project's business analyst, project manager, and/or vendors to develop and execute test plans and test scripts for System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
- Lead testing activities for projects of low to medium complexity.
- Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing and assist business in test execution.
- Communicate testing results and issues/defects found to project team and development team.
- Track and follow up on progress of bug fixes for retesting.
- Communicate with the project's business analyst and project manager any additional change requests/enhancements gathered from business users during UAT.
- Create and facilitate approval/sign-off of User Acceptance Certificates.
- Perform appropriate testing for production issue fixes.
- Certify tested bug fixes or changes.
III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Educational Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree in IT/Business or equivalent years of experience.
- Any related IT, Management or Technical type certification is an advantage.
Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in systems quality assurance analysis, test planning and execution
- Knowledge of Casino, Hotel, Finance, Food & Beverage, Back of House Admin applications is a plus.
- Experience in Quality Management Software tools (Testing tools Bug Tracking, etc) is an advantage.
Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to propose appropriate testing strategy/methodology for the solution Facilitation and coordination skills for user acceptance testing.
- Resourcefulness and flexibility in working with available resources
- Initiative and proactiveness in communicating risks, updates, and defects to facilitate issue resolution
- Ability to identify and analyze potential risks of solutions tested for quality, and visualize potential areas for system/process improvement.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of systems/solutions
- Ability to identify and simulate test scenarios for business cases identified
- Test planning and script development
- Ability to perform functional testing, system integration testing, acceptance testing
Other Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is a must.
- Tagalog and Japanese speaking is an advantage but not an absolute necessity.
- Excellent attention to detail; Highly analytical
- Good time management and organization skills.
