Officer - Casino Accounting

I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:
The Officer - Casino Accounting is responsible for the daily recording of all gaming-related transactions and its detailed analysis, checking of various accounting reports and verification of account balances.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Prepare journal vouchers to record all gaming-related transactions, including revenue, expenses, promotional allowances, and other operational entries
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring all account balances are accurate at the end of each reporting period, and provide complete supporting documentation for verification
- Perform bank reconciliation of all accounts related to gaming
- Attend monthly count of gaming inventories within the scope of Casino Accounting
- Prepare various reports and schedules tailored to the needs of gaming business units and other internal stakeholders
- Support the maintenance of internal control procedures by ensuring all routine accounting tasks comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and maintain accurate workpapers, logs, and schedules to support all financial transactions and reporting
- Ensure timely submission of records and reports to supervisors or managers for review and approval
- Maintain proper filing and storage of hard copies and electronic copies of reports, vouchers, reconciliations, and other supporting documentation
- Perform other operational tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers to ensure smooth daily accounting operations
III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Educational Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or any related degree program
- Certification as Public Accountant is preferred
Experience Requirement:
- At least 1 year experience in General Accounting or related field. Experience in the gaming industry is an advantage.
Skills and Attributes:
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge on in-house or back office systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Dynamics, SAP
- Able to set-up and maintain complex calculation spreadsheets
- Other Qualifications:
- Proficient in oral and written English
- Maintain high degree of integrity while handling sensitive and confidential information
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative
- Adaptable and able to work with minimal supervision
