Coordinator - Security Services

Business Unit:  Shared Services
Division:  Security and Safety

I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

Supports and assists the Security Services / Manager in overseeing high level planning, implementation and ongoing deployment of the administrative control and operation of the Security Access, Key Controls, Hotel Guest locking systems and databases, and interfaces.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assists the Security Services Supervisors or Manager to oversee, allocate responsibilities, and monitor the performance of Security Services Administration
  • Provides first line support to personnel in the required systems and related policies/procedures Coordinates, oversees, and follows up on all Security Service requests, configuration and process changes with regards to access levels for new users and position changes in the relevant systems
  • Monitors internal customer service and coach employees where necessary to enhance customer service quality and confidence
  • Plans and carries out report administration, ensuring reports are complete and functions associated with reports are standardized as they relate to Service provisions
  • Reviews standards, recommends improvements, and implement approved changes
  • Assists in system related emergency situations if the absence of Security Services Supervisors
  • Manages incidents and all system related information in a discreet and confidential manner
  • Assists the Security Services Supervisors/ Manager in the development and implementation of effective systems training of staff and leads the coordination among Security Services Administration, Technical and Security Command, and Service Centers as required.
  • Performs other job related duties assigned by management

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Educational Requirement:

  • At least college level, preferably with Certified degree from an access control system vendor.

 

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience in Security Adminitration, previous experience in security operations is an advantage. 
  • Experience with Photo ID applications.
  • Experience and understanding in customer service and or security officer duties is an advantage.

 

Skills and Attributes:

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications
  • Knowledge of SQL database, c++, or other programming protocols is an advantage
  • Knowledge of other Security systems and technologies is an advantage.

Other qualifications:

  • Fluent in oral and written English
  • can communicate effectively
  • Displays a high level of integrity
  • Self- motivated
  • Amenable to work in a shifting schedule, during weekends, holidays and/or extended hours.
