Art Director
I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:
The Art Director plays a key role in shaping the overall design and creative direction of all internal and external communication materials. Working closely with the Senior Creative Manager and the Creative Team, the Art Director defines the style, tone, and visual identity of property collaterals to ensure consistency, quality, and impact.
This role requires a strong foundation in multimedia design, with advanced skills in motion design, animation, and video editing to create dynamic, engaging content that goes beyond static visuals. The Art Director oversees layouts, artworks, and multimedia executions, ensuring every output meets both creative and strategic objectives while maintaining a competitive standard.
By combining creative vision with technical expertise, the Art Director elevates the brand experience and ensures that every piece of communication is both visually compelling and aligned with the organization’s goals.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Timely, creative and effective execution of the design and layout of all internal and external communication collaterals.
- Collaboration with the advertising, digital and online, public relations, and events and promotions teams in delivering the necessary artworks and layouts for each campaign.
- Ability to effectively articulate ideas, present to groups internally and externally.
- Communication: Open communication with supervisor to share progress of work and design and communicates with brand team.
- Branding knowledge: Ability to design materials true to the brand identity of product and style guidelines set.
- Project Goals: Ensure work is in line with the goals of the project, and that business needs are met.
- Work effectively with the copywriters and multimedia designers in developing the overall look and style of internal and external property collaterals.
- Develop and conceptualize design and layouts based on the briefs given by the Advertising, Public Relations, Digital, and Events and Promotions teams.
- Review and approve designs, artworks, photography, graphics, and videos developed by the creative team.
- Work closely with copywriters in ensuring the effectivity and creativity of each internal and external campaign.
- Participate in team and department meetings for presentations and strategizing sessions.
III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Educational Requirement:
- Graduate of Advertising, Fine Arts or Multimedia Arts.
Experience Requirement:
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in a digital agency or advertising agency in similar role.
Skills and Attributes:
Leadership Skills:
- Ability to work with Business Units directly to understand the business objective and deliver creative work with business objective in mind
- Should be a team player and be able to work well under pressure.
- Multitasking and time management skills
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
- Strong background in Graphic Art and Multimedia Art.
- Thorough understanding of photography, typography, and printing techniques.
- Knowledge of traditional and current graphic skills and software.
Other Qualifications:
- Should be highly creative and have a good eye for detail.
- Knowledge with Indesign, Lightroom, Figma, and Canva is a plus
- Understanding of current social media and digital media trends and be able to produce creative content to target customers on multiple media platforms
- This job requires the Art Director to work in special working conditions covering a wide range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, working outdoors, working for extended periods of time even during holidays.
