Landscape Supervisor

Business Unit:  Property Management
Division:  Facility Management

I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

Design, organizes, monitors, and supervises the landscape, grounds and irrigation maintenance operations within Okada Manila property/ies; performs a variety of technical tasks relative to landscape operations in a cost-effective way. 

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Design, plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for landscape, grounds and irrigation system maintenance operations. 
2. Establish schedules and methods for providing landscape design, landscape implementation, landscape maintenance services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate staff; allocate resources accordingly. 
3.Read and interpret design, maps, plans, sketches, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. 
4.Provides horticulture and landscape design improvement recommendations to the property. 
5.Ensures that the landscape areas and design are in excellent operational condition. 

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Educational Requirement:

  • Graduate of Landscape Architecture

 

Experience Requirement:

  • With minimum of three (3) years working experience in landscape design, maintenance and construction.

 

Skills and Attributes:

Knowledgeable of the following:

  • Principles and practices of landscape maintenance and design.
  • Operate equipment, tools and materials used in landscape maintenance activities and services.
  • Principles of supervision and training.
  • Principles and practices of safety management.
  • Principles of landscape architecture, horticulture and irrigation system.
  • Office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office, MS Word and MS Excel, MS Power Point; AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and ability to use electronic mail.
  • Knowledgeable in pertinent local and national laws, ordinances and rules related to landscape/grounds maintenance and environment.
  • Job scheduling and monitoring techniques and practices.
