Senior Manager - Strategic Market Alliances & Partnerships
I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:
This role is all about harnessing the power of mutual inquiry, finding opportunities, moving conversations and bringing them to actionable collaborations – these are just some of the most interesting facets of the strategic alliances champion. This person is dynamic, has a flare for conversations, able to navigate the nuances of various brands, function capably amidst conflict, and instigate a collaborative culture across Okada Manila. The strategic alliances manager attunes to others’ perspectives, establishes, and nurtures relationships internally and externally through time investment.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Working cross-functionally with other business units such as Hotel, Casino, Entertainment, F&B, Branding, Supply Chain, Retail, and Human Resources, the alliances and partnerships manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, securing, and managing high-level market partnerships for the property.
- Plan, lead and assist business units in the establishment of alliances and partnerships for the property through targeting and recommending different local and international market collaborations.
- Creates, reviews, and recommends length and timing of partnerships.
- Measures alliance and partnership effectiveness and optimize if needed.
- Executes the alliance partner’s business plan and ensure effective governance in alignment with Okada Manila’s objectives
- Drafts standard working procedures to operationalize alliances and partnerships from partner identification, baseline due diligence, partner selection, and initiating exploratory meetings with various companies to identify mutual goals for collaboration.
- Identify creative opportunities with new and existing partners for the integrated resort’s ad hoc events and activities. Track, analyze, and communicate key metrics as related to partner relationships.
- Creates and promotes joint value proposition and serves as the visionary for all alliances and partnerships while remaining detail-oriented.
- Elevates the property brand locally and regionally to targeted partnerships to drive brand affinity, visitations and increase in sales.
- Negotiate agreements with brand partners to ensure a mutually beneficial deal that leverages the Okada Manila brand.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Arrange and complete contracts with legal team and business unit to achieve program objectives in relation to the alliance and partnership.
- Work and coordinate with marketing team to establish tone, direction, content, and logistics especially on the visuals in relation to marketing and communication of the partnership.
- Represent the company to outside organizations at key industry events.
- This job requires the Strategic Alliances executive to work in special working conditions (traveling locally and abroad) covering a wide range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work to working for extended periods of time even during holidays
- Performs other reasonable job duties assigned by immediate superior from time to time.
III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Educational Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality or other related field.
- Graduate of any marketing, communications and/or business administration course; post graduate studies an added plus
Experience Requirement:
- With 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing, communications and business administration.
Skills and Attributes:
Leadership Skills:
- Impeccable communication and social skills, a team leader & builder;
- A self-starter, displays initiative & commitment to professional values;
- Highly approachable and must be agile in changing business environment;
- Internally navigates the company structure to promote the partnership.
- Good diplomacy and passion for understanding and unpacking the brand partner’s agenda.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Basic data analysis and business acumen to evaluate partnership’s feasibility

- Highly flexible, creative, and open minded to be able to conceptualize new approaches in brokering alliances and partnerships;
- Has extensive local and regional contacts (individuals and companies)
