I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

Responsible for the efficient processing of linen or garments to the required Hotel standards. Work areas will include: soiled receiving, sorting, pressing/finishing, quality checking, and dispatch. 

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Receive and sort soiled linen/uniforms using Bundle portals and manual counts to ensure all soiled items are correctly accounted for, recorded, and prepared for washing/dry cleaning as appropriate. All uniform pockets should be checked for foreign objects, whilst all items should be checked for damage/stains.
• Press/fold and prepare all laundered items according to the required procedure to ensure all items are returned to the hotel in the best possible condition. Any substandard items should be
  returned for rewashing.
• Quality check all items by inspection after processing to ensure they are free of stains and pressing/finishing quality is up to the Hotel standards.
• Prepare uniforms for dispatch using Metricon auto-sortation machine to ensure they are segregated by conveyor number and in numerical order to ensure Wardrobe can easily fill the Autovalet conveyors.
•  Prepare linen for dispatch by packing into labelled trollies for Non-RFID items or counting and packing by means of Bundle Pack system for RFID tagged linen to ensure all linen is accounted
  for and all departments can be charged for their laundry.
• Dispatch clean items using the Bundle portal to count the number of pieces/ item types and then load them in delivery trucks to ensure Hotel have sufficient supply of linen and garments for
  continuous Hotel operations.
• Accomplish necessary reports by collecting and recording appropriate data for monitoring and record keeping purposes.
• Prepare all new items required by the hotel by means of sorting, washing, finishing, packing and dispatch ensuring that these items are segregated from rotating stock so they can be received
  and recorded by the Hotel.
