I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

Responsible for supplying the Tunnel Washer and supporting the Tunnel Washer Operator with the process such as, but not limited to, receiving of dirty laundry, sorting laundry per item code and per client code, inspecting laundry for damages before the wash, loading/feeding of laundry bags, feeding conveyer to the Tunnel washer, monitoring the Tunnel washer process.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Receives dirty linen from the hotel in trolleys and bags
• Identifies and sorts dirty linen and sequence the trolleys as per standard operating procedures
• Ensures that before loading the bag system that the bag is properly and securely closed
• Loads dirty linen as per item and code into the vacant conveyer compartment / Load dirty linen as per item and customer code into the bag loading system
• Selects correct item code and customer code on the computer system after loading the empty conveyer compartment and after loading bag loading system
• Ensures that the conveyer system or the bag loading system is sufficiently loaded 
• Performs all administrative tasks relating to the loading / processing of the dirty linen through the Tunnel Washer

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Educational Requirement:

• Completed at least 2-year Diploma course
• Any ongoing or completed equivalent professional training is an advantage

Experience Requirements:

• At least 1 year experience as a Laundry worker in a Laundry-related process environment
• Industrial laundry machine operator experience is preferred

Skills and Attributes:

• Proficient in Computer applications
• Fluent in oral and written English
• Physical ability to pick up and move around objects/bags weighing in excess of 30kg
• Physical ability to climb up and down stairs and other structures
• Must be able to work shifts, weekends, overtime and Public Holidays when required
