Floral Operation Assistant
I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:
Responsible in handling the delivery and maintenance all flower arrangements in the designated areas in the hotel daily; ensures the changing of floral arrangement on schedule or when necessary; and finishes the assignment that has been tasked in timely manner.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Ensures proper recording of activities in Floral Department’s logbook such as wastage and breakage
- Helps maintain flower consumption at minimum, controls recycling of flowers, and keeps record of right charges of all flowers coming out of the flower shop
- Records equipment malfunctions and furniture repairs and send items to Facility department
- Follows all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications
- Ensures all flower requirements are done on time; all reports need be submitted on time for proper allocation of flower expenses
- Maintains clean and safe working area, ensure that left over flowers are properly kept in water for the next day’s use
- Assists the Floral Lead Designer and Floral Designer in making flower arrangement if needed
- Inspects floral arrangements for damages and report any issues to the florist
- Unpacks floral freight deliveries and organize flowers in the workroom or chiller
- Prepares floral containers and props, and floral carts for refrigeration and delivery
- Monitors the inventory of the Flower Shop
- Conducts cashiering duties at the Flower Shop, posts floral charges and completes cash/card transactions; categorizes tickets for audit purposes; and reports any potential problem during shift
- Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned by the immediate superior as needed
III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Educational Requirement :

- 2-Year Diploma graduate of any related course or equivalent to professional hospitality service training
Experience Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in Housekeeping Rooms/Public Area as a cleaner
Leadership Skills:
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
Technical Skills:
- Ability to work efficiently in a high pressure environment
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
Other Qualifications:
- Able and willing to work for long hours, weekends, holidays and on a shifting schedule
- Must be able to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
- Exposure to dirt, noise, dangerous chemicals/solvents, dampness and temperature extremes
