Gaming Analyst - Customer Analytics

Business Unit:  Casino Marketing
Division:  Strategic Marketing

I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

The Gaming Analyst, Customer Analytics will be part of the team that works closely with all departments to ensure the ongoing success of the property wide loyalty program and casino profitability, encompassing the casino products hospitality, F&B, club, spa, entertainment and retail. They will assist the team with projects including but not limited to profitability analysis, campaigns that drive acquisition, conversion and ongoing engagement through personalized, relevant and meaningful offers. 

This is a great entry level opportunity for graduates looking for their first foray into the world of analytics and strategic marketing.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Work with the team to deliver Strategic Marketing strategies across the organization, including the casino, hospitality, F&B, club, spa, entertainment and retail, to facilitate customer retention and loyalty 
  • Monitor the competitive environment both in the local market as well as regionally and provide regular management updates
  • Work with data using Python, SQL, Excel, and other programming languages to:
    * Assist the database manager to maintain the database daily operation
    * Provide statistics of event marketing data generated by operations systems
    * Technological and financial analysis for system and business improvement
    * Prepare standard reports to support daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports using existing reporting tools.
    * Fulfill ad-hoc data and reporting requests for marketing and management reporting needs where data is not readily available.
    * Handle, maintain and analyze different reports by acquiring data from Loyalty System, Tele-marketing, Gaming systems, etc.
    * Evaulate the profitability and utilization of gaming products and provide regular and meaningful insights and recommendations.
    * Assist in projecting financial impact and establish post mortem analysis in planning of promotions and campaigns.
    * Monitor and audit the usage of complimentary gifts and promotions whether in line with company standards.

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Educational Requirement:

  • University degree; preferably with major in statistics, mathematics, Management Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Actuarial Science or any related course

 

Experience Requirements:

  • Fresh graduate or 1 – 2 years of experience working in Analytics & Marketing related positions

 

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
  • Excellent organizational and decision making skills
  • Highly self-motivated, strong analytical/problem solving and decision making
  • Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in Python, SAS, R, PIG, HIVE and SPSS will be a plus
  • Analytical with an interest in strategy and marketing
  • Excellent organizational skills needed to effectively complete tasks as assigned
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can communicate well in English
  • Cantonese/Mandarin/Japanese/Korean speaker is an advantage
