Visual Graphic Animator - AVL

I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

The Visual Graphic Designer / Animator works on any variety of products and activities, such as posters, visual graphic animation, flash animation, 2D and 3D animation displays and corporate identity, giving organizations a visual 'brand'. You'll work to a brief agreed with the client, production manager or director and will develop conceptualized creative. The appropriate media and style has to be chosen to meet the production or client's objectives. The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines. An animator produces multiple images called frames, which when sequenced together create an illusion of movement known as animation or computer-generated animation. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures. 

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Liaising with clients and other business units in developing visual graphics project from concept to final output.

  • Creating storyboards that depict the script and narrative;
  • Drawing in 2D to create sketches, artwork or illustrations;

  • Using technical software packages, such as Flash, 3ds Max, Maya, Light Wave, Cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects, Photoshop.

  • Building up accurate, detailed frame-by-frame visuals;

  • Working to production deadlines and meeting clients' requirements;

  • Working as part of a broader production team, which might include liaising with printers, copywriters, photographers, designers, account executives, website designers or marketing specialists;

  • Performs such other duties from time to time assigned by the production manager or director.

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Educational Requirements:

  • Preferably College degree in Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design, 2d & 3D Animation.

 

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 4 years’ experience in Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design, Creative Advertising, and Animation. Also possess an impressive portfolio.

 

Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills in order to interpret and negotiate briefs with managers and directors.
  • Good communication and presentation skills with the confidence to explain ideas to superiors and colleagues.
  • Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at a time.
  • Ability to work well in a team, follow directions/instructions and can work well without supervision.
  • Willingness to work overtime and shifting schedules if needed.
