I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

This position is responsible in ensuring all interactions are pleasant and service oriented, provide information to guests and offer personalized and tailored salon and barber services including shaving, hairstyling, tinting to ensure a delightful wellness and spa experience. Other general responsibilities include maintaining, enhancing and expanding skills and service standards to an excellent level, monitoring stocks, promoting the lines of products and services to clients, keeping all working areas and equipment in good working condition, clean and organized.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Informs advises, recommends, performs and delivers to guest, salon and barber treatments, plus assistance in use of facilities and providing retail recommendation/sales.
• Shampoo, cut and / or style and / or blow dry hair as required by guest.
• Apply cosmetics, style hair as required by guest.
• Maximizes guest revenue potential, satisfaction and utilization by delivering and re-booking spa and wellness services & facilities.
• Provide alternatives if their first request / choice cannot be met.
• Maintain a neat and tidy appearance
• Answers all questions related to services and identify the benefit or advantage of treatments.
• Assist with demonstrations, journalist visits, promotional activities and other departmental or hotel events as required.
• Where applicable, handle or endorse to the appropriate channel any incoming and outgoing communication with utmost courtesy and professionalism to ensure competence, performance and daily operational objectives are met.

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Educational Requirement:

• Certification as qualified Hairdresser / and or Barber or equivalent professional training.

Experience Requirement:

• 2 to 3 years’ experience / exposure working in Salon and Barber operation or equivalent service experience in top salon and barber.

Skills and Attributes:

Technical Skills:

• Hairdressing (Cut, color, shampoo, blow dry, up styling, perm, various treatments,
• Make- Up application for photo shoots and events)
• Barbering (Cut, color, shampoo, blow dry, shaving, facial etc.)

Other Qualifications:

• Proactive, responsible, alert and agile, pleasant personality, efficient and tactful.
• Good skin no visible tattoos, good posture and good teeth.
