Officer - Optimization
I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:
Optimization Officer works to assist project managers’ teams with the coordination of resources, equipment, meetings, and information. They organize projects with the goal of getting them completed on time and within budget. This ask involves monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner. The Optimization Officer role may include additional duties and responsibilities and require expertise in a specific area, such as IT or Table Games.
Equally important are soft skills, also referred to as “people skills.” Soft skills apply to all jobs in all industries, particularly leadership positions. These include the ability to communicate well, build trust and resolve conflicts. Soft skills can help provide an edge to PC who have learned to use them well.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
- Ensures that project activities are properly coordinated with relevant project stakeholders in a timely manner. This includes, but is not, limited to the following:
- Requirements gathering
- Testing activities like User Acceptance Test (UAT)
- Project meetings with relevant project stakeholders
- Knowledge transfer with end users
- Prepares and sends Project Status Reports and project communication efforts in an accurate and timely manner to relevant project stakeholders.
- Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
- Coordinate and acquire project document sign-offs such as Change Request documents and other relevant project documentation.
- Helps other Optimization Officers/Project Managers in fulfilling tasks assigned; guiding other team members how to methodically follow the project management process and other relevant processes that drive a project.

Educational Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field of study
Experience Requirement:
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
Skills and Attributes:
- Leadership Skills:
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks (MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Word).
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools such as Excel, Python, or similar languages
- Other Qualifications:
- Ability to work on tight deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
