Officer - Casino Security
I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:
The Casino Security Officer is responsible for performing various security-related tasks to ensure the safety and protection of assets, guests, and personnel within the casino. This role involves close coordination with the Surveillance and Security Control Room, protecting valuable materials, and ensuring the secure transportation of assets across the casino. Additionally, the officer plays a key role in promoting exceptional customer service and reporting any security-related incidents.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Coordinates with the Surveillance and Security Control Room in performing casino security-related tasks.
- Ensures the safe transportation of cash, chips, cards, and documents during escort transactions.
- Protects cash, chips, cards, and documents from theft or loss.
- Safeguards guests, company property, and personnel assets.
- Promotes public relations and delivers exceptional customer service to all guests.
- Reports any incidents, security concerns, and safety observations to superiors.
- Performs other security-related tasks as designated by superiors.
III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Educational Requirement:
- At least college level and/or equivalent years of experience relevant to the position applied for. A bachelor degree is an advantage.
Experience Requirement:
- Military, law enforcement, or demonstrated relevant experience is an advantage but not required.
- Relevant years of experience in a similar role is an advantage.
- Must have a valid Security Officer License (LESP).
Skills and Attributes:
- Able to maintain authority and discipline while promoting teamwork, ensuring a safe environment, and responding quickly to security-related situations.
- Capable of using computer systems for report writing.
- Knowledgeable about security protocols, including emergency response procedures.
- Familiar with radios, two-way communication devices, and other tools to report incidents and coordinate responses.
