Officer - Casino Accounting

Business Unit:  Shared Services
Division:  Accounting

I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

Responsible for the detailed analysis of transactions, checking of various accounting reports and  verification of account balances. 

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Prepares all journal vouchers to record transactions related to Gaming
  • Prepares and conducts preliminary verification of daily reports intended for various users
  • Reviews and checks specific balance sheet accounts against their expected balances at the end of each reporting period
  • Reviews specific daily reports that are submitted to stakeholders
  • Coordinates with other team members and departments regarding concerns on expense recording to ensure proper classification of charges
  • Performs administrative tasks and coordinates with other concerned units, as necessary, to maintain efficiency and order within the Finance-Casino department
  • Performs other job related duties assigned by superiors

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Educational Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or other business-related course

 

Experience Requirement:

  • Experience in the Gaming industry is an advantage

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Application
  • Fluent in oral and written English
  • Takes ownership of work
  • Proactive
  • Ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts
  • Strong understanding of accounting and tax principles
