Food and Beverage Supervisor

Business Unit:  Hospitality & Entertainment
Division:  Food and Beverage

I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

Responsible for supervising all aspects of the restaurant and delegating tasks to all the restaurant personnel and ensuring that the responsibilities are completed in a timely manner for its smooth operation on a daily basis.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Supervises and coordinates Front-of-House (FOH) and Back-of-House (BOH) daily operations by administering the daily checklist and ensuring that employees understand their duties, monitors team member’s productivity by assigning daily stations and delegating tasks and responsibilities, enforces discipline by strictly implementing orders, instructions and penalties for delinquent team members
  • Completes and updates the end of day sales reports, checks and controls cashiers audit findings and transactions 
  • Adheres to the policies and procedures of the department by consistently applying the Forbes Standard, checking and monitoring the quality of food, beverage and service, recognizing guest request and preference
  • Checks and maintains operating supplies and equipment and furniture and fixture equipment
  • Motivates and involves team members by conducting regular briefing, delegating task and responsibilities and cascading valuable information, establishing an open communication and cooperation among team members to develop guest relation skills and encourage self-empowerment
  • Conducts internal training for the team members by providing and preparing materials needed for the training and enhancing the team member’s food and beverage knowledge and skills.
  • Handles guest complaints by listening to their concerns, gathering information and by executing service recovery to establish guests trust and return visit
  • Checks and monitors team members proper grooming and hygiene in accordance with Okada Manila Food and Safety Management System
  • Performs any other tasks and responsibilities related to Food and Beverage Services as assigned by the immediate superior.

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Educational Requirement :
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Hotel and Restaurant Management or related course

 

  • Experience Requirements :
    • At least 2 years of experience in the same position at an Integrated Resort or a 5-star or international property

 

  • Leadership Skills :
    • Organizational Skills
    • People Management

 

  • Technical Skills :
    • Proficiency in MS Office Applications
    • Gadget and related electronics Know-How

 

  • Other Qualifications :
    • Team player and goal-oriented
    • Interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Oral and written fluency in English
    • Good understanding of local languages
    • Foreign language correspondence is an advantage
