Coordinator - Security Services

I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

The Security Services Coordinator supports & assists the Security Services Supervisors/ Manager in overseeing high level planning, implementation and ongoing deployment of the administrative control and operation of the Security Access, Key Controls, Hotel Guest Locking systems and databases, and interfaces as required. The Security Services Coordinator will also assist the Security Services Supervisors/ Manager in the development & implementation of effective systems training of staff in the use of these systems and will take the lead role in coordination between Security Services Administration, Technical and the Security Command and Service Centers as required.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Manage with a Gallagher access control solution:

  • Set door and zone entry rules
  • Manage access points to know ‘where, when and why’ people are on your site at all times
  • Respond rapidly with a reliable and effective emergency management system, including lockdowns and alerts
  • Manage intruder alarms with optional handover to alarms monitoring stations.
  • Manage cardholders, including their access, cards and photo identification.
  • Manage alarms and control all system aspects.
  • Retrieve and report on stored system information.
  • Interface to and exchange information with third party systems.
  • Configure the site and all system components

 

Manage with SALTO Access Control:

  • Set door and zone entry rules including Hotel Rooms.
  • Update Users access rights.

 

Manage with an Intelligent Key Lock Application System (IKLAS): 

  • Accountability to track keys movement. Accessibility of keys (24/7/365) real time monitoring.
  • Able to grant authorized access to different users based on defined key rights.
  • Providing transaction reports for management reporting and auditing purposes.

 

Manage with configuration, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of Digital/Tetra Radio Communication System.

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Skills and Attributes:  

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Physically fit and mentally alert to respond to operational requirements as needed
  • Willing to work in a shifting schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with Gallagher Security System or other access control platforms is a strong advantage
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Presentation, Outlook)
  • Knowledgeable in basic photo editing and ID layout using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Canva or similar software
  • Basic understanding of networking principles to assist in troubleshooting system related issues with security devices
