I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:
The primary duty is to attend to the needs and wants of the guests and ensure that they are fulfilled according to the set standards and to guest’s satisfaction. Okada Manila’s image should be reflected at all time through a friendly, courteous manner and helpful attitude exceeding guest expectation.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- To reflect Okada Manila’s philosophy by providing the highest quality of friendly service to our guest.
- To have complete knowledge on hotel operations, food and beverage service procedures available in section appointed.
- Ensure that the Hotel standards and policies are correctly applied.
- To have pride and confidence in your appearance and personal hygiene, making sure the uniforms and shoes are always at high standard.
- Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, maintain positive guest relations and ensure guest satisfaction at all times
- Service all suites and villas as well as provide turndown services
- Handle daily amenities arrangements for all suites and villas
- Review in-house, arriving and departing reservations on a daily basis
- Be familiar with the set-up and functionality of all equipment in the suites and villas
- Perform meet and greet and send off process according to the set standard
- Be able to escort guests from the front of the hotel to the suite/ villa and serve the guests as needed including hotel tour, explanation of services, unpacking and packing luggage
- Take orders for in-room dining, deliver and serve accordingly
- Run errands for guest as assigned including shopping, entertainment and flight ticket purchase, deliveries and packages
- Pick up and record all pertinent data, guest preferences into guest profile as needed
- Fulfill guest requirements as long as they are safe, legal and economically sound
- Maintain a friendly, pleasant and neat image to the guest. Always use guest name whenever possible and appropriate.
- Attends briefing, meetings and training sessions as required.
- Maintain consistency in quality of the section appointed.
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Educational Requirement:
- College graduate or has a degree of Hotel and Restaurant Management from a recognized institution is an advantage.
Experience Requirement:
- Preferably at least 2 years work experience in a similar capacity in a 5 – star establishment or international property.
Skills and Attributes:
- Proficient in MS Office
- Has complete knowledge of operational systems in Front Office such as Opera Property Management System, Vision, Guest Experience Software System (GESS), Salto, Agilysis Desktop, Digivalet Dashboard, EDC Machines and machines
Other Qualifications:
- Excellent guest relations and communication skills
- Advanced understanding of hotel operations, food and beverage including in-suite dining, wine and spirits
