Architect - Project Management
I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:
Responsible for all Architectural/ID requirements both for property & projects including project management, quality control & fire life safety requirements checking. He or she also help the managers to secure the maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, auxiliary systems, kitchen equipment etc., loose and fixed furniture, lighting, interior design finishes, architectural internal and external finishes, structure, water proofing etc. to approved standards, procedures and time frame He or She also helps in completing engineering projects by organizing and controlling projects elements, monitoring until completion, checking of design plans & perspectives, quality control check & fire life safety verification requirements.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Planning

- Reviews all preliminary reports including advance planning studies for the project. Proper shoulder widths, traffic and falseworks clearances, approach slab status and adequate stream flow and scour provisions must be verified prior to the developing the General Plan.
- Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and design plans; conferring with management.
- Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
- Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates

Project Control / Report

- Assist management for reviewing entire project for continuity and completeness.
- Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements
- Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
- Review of all design plans & shop drawings including specifications if aligned with the design intent
- Quality control checking of works specially for finishes & functionality
- Fire Life & Safety review & in accordance to the Philippine code & requirements

Operations
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains project data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
Personnel
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Supervise project staff. May delegate supervision for portion of work.
IV. JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Educational Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree or Advance Diploma in Architecture and a Registered License Holder of this discipline, With Master's degree (advantage but not required).
Experience Requirement:
- 3 to 5 years experience as a Project / Site / Construction Architect or any Supervisory Experience in a Construction related company or Hotel, Casino & Resort experiences.
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent Technical knowledge in Architectural and Construction related job and assignments, including coaching, supervision, staffing, project management proficiency.
- Demonstrate knowledge in design and construction management principles, practices and methods, environmental regulations, design & engineering project management methods, workplace safety, budgeting, employee supervision and personnel management.
- Must be flexible and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Should be competent in handling simultaneously occurring tasks and smaller projects.
- Should be amenable to work overtime when needed.
- Should be excellent in personal grooming and presentation.
- Should be excellent in oral and written communication skills, CAD Software skills, Engineering Drawings, Design Plans and MS OFFICE knowledge.
