Senior Executive - Media Relations

Business Unit:  Shared Services
Division:  Corporate Marketing & Communications

I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Executive for Media Relations to lead our corporate affairs and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) communications. This strategic role focuses on enhancing our brand image, managing public perception, and promoting our CSR initiatives through effective media engagement and relationship building.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Corporate Public Relations

a. Develop and implement a proactive media relations strategy for increased presence in both local and international media.

b. Draft and distribute press materials including press releases, statements, and media kits to key media 

c. Monitor and analyze media coverage of the resort and industry trends

 

2. Corporate Affairs Communications

a. Support crisis communication plans and manage media inquiries 

b. Monitor and analyze media coverage, industry trends, and public sentiment 

 

3. Strategic Media Partnerships

a. Handle partnership inquiries and provide strategic evaluation and recommendations 

b. Execute partnership events 

 

4. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiatives

a. Lead the communication strategy for CSR programs, showcasing the organization’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement

b. Identify and engage with non-profit organizations and community stakeholders 

c. Coordiante and execute CSR committee meeting, action plans, monthly newsletter and content calendar covering company's CSR programs

 

5. Reporting and Evaluation

a. Prepare detailed reports on media coverage, impact of communication strategies, and CSR initiatives for stakeholders and senior management.

b. Evaluate public relations efforts and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Educational Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.

 

Experience Requirement:

  • Minimum of 2 experience in media relations and PR; experience within the leisure and hospitality industry is preferred.

 

Skills and Attributes:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling narratives.
  • Experience in CSR communications or corporate PR is highly desirable.
