Officer - Point of Sale (POS)
I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:
The Officer - Point of Sale (POS) shall be responsible in assisting Point of Sale (POS) system administration by ascertainning the completeness of data stored, confirms all POS hardware are accounted and carry out walkthrough and review procedures to the operations.
II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Maintains the reliability of data stored in POS system through item set-up with proper approval and required documentations to ensure the completeness and accuracy of data in the system used by the operations daily.
- Confirms all POS hardware are accounted by performing monthly inventory deployed to operations and check BIR regulatory POS requirements to ascertain compliance, adequate assignment and proper monitoring of POS hardware.
- Performs daily compliance checking by way of visiting all outlets, inspect POS hardware, raise and monitor any abnormal operational and financial activities found to ascertain system's operational and financial adequacy and effectiveness.
- Keeps the POS reports services updates by setting and providing all system generated reports to each outlets, Finance and Accounting, and other Business Units efficiently for operational, financial and statistical reporting purposes.
- Maintains completeness of all required documents through scanning and properly filing, in support to all changes made in the system, audit trail and reliable references.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the management.
III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Educational Requirement:
- Preferably a graduate of Finance, Information Technology, or Hotel and Restaurant Management degree
Experience Requirement:
- Experience in service or IT application system maintenance.
Skills and Attributes:
- Able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using POS systems (e.g., Micros, Fidelio, Infrasys, Agilisys), preferably with hands-on experience in INFOGENESIS Point of Sale.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Self-driven and confident in communicating and interacting with various departments, including at management levels.
Other Qualifications:
- High degree of integrity, strong work ethic, highly adaptable, and assertive.
