Commis 3 - Ginza Nagaoka

I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

The Commis 3 is responsible in the preparation and cooking of all menu items as well as maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in his assigned station.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assists the CDC in preparing ingredients such as rice, fish, vegetables.
  • Learning and mastering basic sushi preparation techniques under the guidance of CDC.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment.
  • Handling basic kitchen tasks such as washing, cutting and portioning ingredients.
  • Following food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Assisting in the assembly and presentation of sushi dishes.
  • Taking direction from CDC and working collaboratively with other team members.
  • Maintaining a positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve sushi-making skills.

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Educational Requirement:

  • Minimum high school graduate / HRM or any food related college degree.

 

 

Experience Requirement:

  • Atleast 1 year experience in the kitchen

 

 

Skills and Attributes:

Leadership Skills:

  • Able to develop leadership skills for the future succession

 

Technical Skills:

  • Able to operate and maintain ovens, stoves, microwaves, fryers, mixers, blenders, and similar equipment

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Able to work in shifting schedule, weekends and holidays
