Auditor - Non Gaming Audit

Business Unit:  Shared Services
Division:  Accounting

I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

The Non-Gaming Auditor provides support in the accounting, reporting, audit, analysis and reconciliation of the reported revenue of the Non-Gaming business units by delivering relevant consolidated reports that will assist in management decision making. The Non-Gaming Auditor ensures that all related accounting entries, schedules, and reports are prepared on a timely and accurate manner at all times in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures and accounting standards.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Collects and accounts Non-Gaming business units end of day reports, receipts, vouchers or other source documents for audit and review to ensure the reported revenue are accounted and reported based on applicable control policies, and accounting standards
  • Reviews and audits all receipts, vouchers and guest folios as assigned on a daily basis to ascertain its transactional accuracy and completeness of settlement and compliance with specific procedures
  • Prepares and issues summary of daily audit findings or deviations noted during the course of audit to respective business unit management for immediate resolution, correction or issuance of appropriate disciplinary actions, if applicable. 
  • Prepares and issues summary of daily audit findings or deviations noted during the course of audit to respective business unit management for immediate resolution, correction or issuance of appropriate disciplinary actions, He/she also monitors all open audit findings for immediate resolution or action
  • Monitors issuance of all accountable forms and other forms to ensure conformity to applicable laws or regulations as well as regulate the circulation of these documents to minimize commission of fraud or errors
  • Prepares and maintains accurate and up-to-date audit reports, cash and settlement schedules, voucher and gift certificate utilization, summary of receipts, folios or vouchers needed for recording and accounting disclosures and account analysis. Ensures that the reports are updated regularly and match to correct chart of accounts
  • Assists Non-gaming business units in the implementation of cashiering procedures as well as ascertain substantial compliance to the terms and conditions or mechanics that will minimize transactional errors and non-recognition of revenue due to non-compliance

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

 

Educational Requirement:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree graduate of Finance, Accountancy or other Business-related programs
  • Certified Public Accountant is preferred but not required

 

Experience Requirement: 

 

  • Minimum of one year experience in Hotel or Integrated Resort
  • Finance or Accounting professional with substantial exposure to preparation of journal entries, acocunts reconciliation and taxation

Technical Skills:

 

  • Knowledge in casino loyalty points program system is an advantage
  • Knowledge in complimentary accounting and reporting is an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient in generating simple and advanced reports, analyses and scheudles
  • Substantial reporting skills for audit, revenue and control issues reports
  • Substantial knowledge on Property Management System, preferably Oracle’s OPERA, any POS system
